SJ’s Traveling Tueke
My
MUST HAVES
when traveling!
Kia ora! Hello!
After traveling to various areas of the world, I try to pack to a minimum and only take what I really need. Key word in that sentence being ‘try’. Not only are there weight restrictions but sometimes depending where you are traveling it is much easier and cheaper to only take carry-on (Europe - I am clearing at you!) so you need to really consider what you take. Every time I return back home I realise there is a pair of shoes or multiple pairs of clothing I didn’t even end up touching (or completely forgot I packed) so I have made a list of my absolute MUST HAVES at a bare minimum, if you don’t have some of these then I highly recommend investing in them.
Packing cubes (cannot recommend enough! makes it easier to locate clothing without fully unpacking your bag, but gives you more space also)
A book to read
Travel passport holder (& always make sure you have a pen!)
A journal to make notes on your travels, reflect on your day.
Mini bottles of shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser, lip balm
Charger & adaptors
Passport & any copies of Visas/documentation you might need
Power bank - keep it small so it fits in your side bag
Slides/Jandals
Comfy sweater and gym shorts
Small side bag to take out daily on your adventures
Scrunchie/hair ties
Make up bag - only with the essentials
Here’s hoping I might be more successful at minimal tueke (luggage) on my next trip!
Haere rā! Goodbye & happy packing!
