Kia ora! Hello!

We shall be visiting The Netherlands a few times throughout this trip as my fiance's family are Dutch, so this is our first stop which was really brief.

Greeted yesterday by some family at the airport, we went home and stayed awake as long as we could to tackle the jetlag so we could make the most of our days.

Sunday midday after having haagelslag for breakfast (chocolate hail on toast), we made our way to Amsterdam with my mother in law whilst she is also over here.

Key takeouts from the day:

*Visited the Dam Square

*Tried Febo (shop that has holes in the wall that you select food from)

*Quick shop in Primark to get some more warm clothes

*Walked through the Red Light District

*Dinner at a pub

*Canal cruise to see the Amsterdam Light Festival

Looking forward to coming back for Christmas and seeing a lot more. For now, Scandinavia here we come!
