Kia ora! Hello!

The day has finally come, all of the planning and decision making finally coming to life!

Early morning drive to Wellington, and after transiting through Christchurch & Singapore we finally made it to the Philippines where we will be for the following 5wks before we head to Europe for the remaining 9wks.

I am currently OOO, from New Zealand (whilst I work in Manila) but the official OOO date is 24th November. The countdown in on!

What did we do to make this happen?

• Reviewed types of leave offered by work - very thankful to be able to ‘purchase’ 4wks worth of additional leave.

• Work allows us to work overseas - so doing exactly that! By working “super 10s” it allows us to have a 3day weekend and explore, but also live like a local during the week.

• 5 house sitting stints and moving into the in-laws to avoid resigning my rental agreement.

I highly recommend exploring what opportunities you can get through work, not all companies are as generous so I am aware that we are in a very fortunate position.
