Kia ora! Hello!

We wanted an easy island holiday package to get away from Windy Wellington, and this trip did not disappoint. Beginning of Feb we found our deal online for less than $2k each - Sunday to Sunday, flights, airport transfers, daily breakfast, 30min massage, morning shopping trip to Sigatoka, hour glass bottom boat cruise and garden view all included, with a departure date for late March.

To start with, our airport transfer was a 3hour drive with 2 other kiwis who we very quickly became rather close with which led to multiple fun memories!

Rosie Holidays are located within the resort which made it super convenient for us to fill some days of activities. However, relaxing around the resort grounds and listening to the live band whilst either getting to know other holiday goers or people watching, was equally as good!

Firstly, we upgraded our massage to add on an additional hour to include a facial. Then it was all go - a morning traveling out to Sigatoka where we had a lovely guide who taught us about Fijian history and Cannibalism, a Sunset River Cruise & Dinner show where we met up with our kiwi friends and enjoyed the show over a Fijian Lovo (earth oven) buffet and some kava. Getting to Seventh heaven meant there was a 6am departure, arriving late due to traffic to our boat transfer and finally arriving at Seventh Heaven at 10am. The long journey there and back home was well and truly worth it! We shared a platter, some drinks and snorkelled between the sun bathing. This was one of my favourite days as there was a mixture of physical activity and then some chill time so I highly recommend! We also took a longboat up the Navau River where we visited the Sabata village, swam at an amazing waterfall, had a riverside lunch & tubed back down the river.

Did I mention that I also got engaged? Thus, making it probably one of the best holidays and most definitely one for the memories.

Safe to say we returned home relaxed, tanned, hungover and educated a little more on Fiji sites and history.

Recommendations:

*Book a package, it is nice to not have to organise all the details.

*When doing room service, check out the kid’s menu! Much cheaper and decent sized meal.

*Seventh Heaven & River Tubing Fiji - those were two amazing days of excursions!
